Behind every wall

Every layer. One crew.

Most walls pass through three or four subcontractors before they're ready for paint. We do framing, insulation, board, tape and ceilings ourselves, so the crew that frames your wall answers for how it looks when it's finished.

01

Frame

Steel studs laid out from your drawings, chalk-lined on site and signed off before a single stud goes up. Straight, plumb framing is what makes a flat wall possible.

  • 3-5/8″ steel studs at 16″ o.c.
  • Bulkheads, soffits & coffers
  • Wood backing for cabinets & TVs

02

Insulate

The right insulation for each assembly: spray foam on concrete and in additions, sound batts between rooms and offices. Sealed before the board covers it for good.

  • Spray foam & batt
  • Sound batts between rooms
  • Vapour barrier done right

03

Board

Board hung tight and screwed to pattern, with the right product in the right place: Type X where fire rating calls for it, moisture-resistant below grade.

  • 1/2″ and 5/8″ Type X
  • High walls from lifts
  • Fire-rated assemblies

04

Tape & finish

Three coats with real drying time between them, sanded and checked under raking light. Level 4 as standard; Level 5 on every custom home and anywhere big glass or sheen paint will show joints.

  • Level 4 standard, Level 5 on custom homes
  • Coffered, tray & vaulted
  • Ready for paint

Ceilings

T-bar acoustic grids laser-levelled and coordinated with lights, diffusers and sprinklers, plus drywall bulkheads and ceilings where the design calls for them.

  • 2×2 and 2×4 grid & tile
  • Drywall ceilings & bulkheads
