Finished to a standard you can see.
Basements, additions and custom homes live or die by their walls and ceilings. LR Residential frames, insulates, boards and finishes them with our own crews, and Level 5 is our standard on custom homes.
- Below-grade done right: spray foam on concrete, moisture-resistant board.
- Complex ceilings: coffered, tray, vaulted, skylights and curved walls.
- Spray foam, batt and blown-in: the right insulation for each assembly, not an upsell.
- Clean, on-time crews with constant communication, as our HomeStars reviews say.

Pricing
What drywall costs in Halton.
LR's published 2026 ranges. Every job is quoted on site.
| Where your job lands | Per sq ft of surface | What drives it |
|---|---|---|
| Simple rooms | $2.50 – $3.50 | Standard 8–9′ ceilings, few corners |
| Typical home | $3.50 – $4.50 | A mix of standard and feature ceilings, bulkheads, more corners |
| Complex & luxury | $4.50 – $5.50 | Coffered and curved ceilings, tall walls, Level 5 finish |
| Basements | $2.50 – $5.50+ | Can run higher: bulkheads, soffits and corners mean more taping |
| Commercial & multi-unit | $2.50 – $4.00 | Long straight partitions, Level 4 finish |
Drywall and taping together, materials included: board, compound, tape, screws and corner bead, hung, taped in three coats with drying time, and sanded. Homes $2.50–$5.50; commercial $2.50–$4.00. Per square foot of wall and ceiling surface (not floor area). Framing, insulation, primer and paint quoted separately. Your on-site quote is exact.
Rule of thumb: the drywall (material) you need is roughly your floor area × 3.5 in square feet of board. Multiply that by our rate, or simply multiply your floor area by $8.75–$19.25 ($2.50–$5.50 × 3.5). Your free site visit measures it exactly and turns it into a written price. Get your exact number →

Get my free quote →“Why not just take the lowest quote?”
Very low drywall quotes usually mean thinner board, fewer coats or skipped sanding, and redoing drywall after paint costs far more than doing it right once. Our written quote lists board type, coats and finish level so you can compare line by line.
“How do I know what I'm paying for?”
You get an itemised, written quote after a free site visit, with exactly what's included before any work starts. Ballpark: $2.50–$5.50 per sq ft of wall and ceiling surface, installed.
“How long will my home be a construction zone?”
Real numbers: a basement's drywall takes 8–12 working days, a main floor 10–15. You get a written schedule. Drying time between coats can't be rushed, and we won't rush it.
“Will it be messy?”
Homeowners describe our crews as “fast and clean” and “knowledgeable, clean, and efficient” (HomeStars). We protect floors and clean as we go.
“Are you actually good at this?”
In the trade since 2010, rated 4.9★ on Google, with Level 5 as our standard on custom homes. Every photo on this site is a real LR job.
